Objective

The purpose of this document is to outline My Tutor Studio’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. It details our commitment to ensuring our safeguarding practices comply with statutory responsibilities, government guidelines, and best practices.

This policy establishes a framework to support everyone who interacts with My Tutor Studio, protecting them from abuse and maltreatment. It clarifies the organization’s expectations.

We will implement robust risk management processes to identify situations requiring professional judgments to protect students from harm.

The organization will collectively manage risks and reduce the likelihood of abuse by:

• Providing up-to-date safeguarding policies and procedures that reflect current legislation and guidance
• Implementing robust recruitment, selection, and appointment procedures for staff and tutors
• Promoting and using safer working practices for directors, staff, tutors, and students
• Offering induction and ongoing training for staff and tutors
• Fostering a culture of vigilance throughout all areas of the organization’s work
• Protecting students from harm
• Ensuring people can raise safeguarding concerns
• Handling allegations or incidents in accordance with policies and procedures
• Reporting any allegations or incidents to the relevant authorities

It is the responsibility of all directors, staff, and tutors to read this policy and supporting procedures and know what to do in the event of a safeguarding concern.
