If you’re using Windows for your lessons and having trouble with your device, give our quick fixes a go first - they solve a lot of common issues!
Our quick fixes didn’t do the trick? Try the suggestions below to get you back on track.
Check your Chrome Browser Settings. Sometimes your microphone, camera, or sound can be turned off in your browser settings:
Click the padlock in the URL bar
Go to Site Settings
Set your Camera, Microphone, and Sound permissions to Allow.
Check your Windows Privacy Settings.
Click Windows menu
Go to Settings > Privacy > App permissions > Microphone or Camera
Make sure the switches are On for Allow apps to access… and Allow desktop apps to access…
Refresh your page
Other known fixes we would suggest:
Update your device. A majority of device issues are caused by updates, so keep your device shipshape and install your updates with plenty of time before your lesson!
Use a wired headset. Bluetooth headphones can cause echoing in the lesson space.
Check a third party filter, Antivirus, or Firewall application is not blocking your device from using your microphone or camera.
